The room is already furnished with a bed and a desk. Util + WiFi are included in the price.

The room itself is small and does not have a window. We have an open kitchen attached to our spacious living room, which makes for a ton of room to chill in. We don’t spend much time in the common area to be honest as we tend to stick to our rooms.
The commute is way faster than anyone could imagine when they think of the Bronx. It's 20 minutes to Midtown. The best part about this place might just be this train access. We're where the 2 and 5 EXPRESS TRAINS meet, so we have both EAST SIDE and WEST SIDE MANHATTAN ACCESS.
The blossoming neighborhoods of Mott Haven and Port Morris are full of new bars and restaurants like the Bronx Tavern (which has really good sancocho) and Empanology, to name a couple. And lots of smaller take out places have built outdoor dining.
In the immediate area, we have a half dozen grocery stores; lots of options for fresh produce and fresh meat. There is a laundromat two blocks away with 80 cents per pound drop-off service. There’s really good delivery nearby, especially this awesome $2 taco place.

Cool, clean, and respectful roommates. We are all in our late 20s/mid 30s so aren’t looking for any smokers or party animals and require quiet hours from 11:30pm - 7am M-Th. As far as that we are all pretty chill and laid back and like to maintain a good energy in the space.
About us:
Chris- real estate agent specializing in Brooklyn lofts & New York native. He enjoys running, reading/writing and intellectual discussion. He has been inside countless converted industrial spaces but no rentals quite as spectacular as this one. As he listed it, he fell in love and decided to spearhead this roommate matching project so he can call it home.
Nina- marketing exec focusing on civil infrastructure projects. She is super down to earth, understanding, & fun loving. She enjoys traveling, cooking, film photgraphy, and good conversation over wine.
Kelly- full time artist who is very friendly and easygoing. She enjoys anything creative, working out, and nights out with friends.
Philippe - works in advertising in Manhattan, appreciates an easygoing atmosphere and cleanliness, into NYC live music, biking and art.
Ultimately we want to create a community of really cool people with an awesome environment while also valuing personal space. Fortunately the bedrooms are large enough to have your own privacy when you need to retreat :)
All types of people are welcome, but no pets or cigarette smoking.
The common area will be furnished, so no need to invest in furniture. But the common space of the apartment is so large that you are welcome to bring additional furnishings if you’d like.
The bedrooms come unfurnished, but there is a high end walnut bed platform and headboard that can be loaned if needed.
1 year lease starting March 1st.
If shorter term required landlord would permit you sign the lease but find a replacement tenant to take over your room/ place on the lease. This should not be so difficult given the apartment’s marketability.

I am going away for a long trip and looking to have someone rent my apartment for the duration I am away. Studio is in prime location in financial district. Available from April 1-23rd. Close to all the subways. Only responsible adults. Need to do a FT video call to make sure it’s a good fit.
