Role Purpose
The Back of House (BOH) Director is responsible for overseeing all things that fall within the Kitchen and Prep areas. They will work closely with their BOH Supervisors and Team Leaders as a team to make decisions, accomplish area goals and develop team members into strong leaders. They will be held accountable for production, efficiency, and cleanliness of the kitchen and quality of products served. Their goal is to serve hot, quality food to our guests, accurately and swiftly, and to develop and maintain a service environment that sustains Quality Standards and Food Safety Requirements.
Role Specific Responsibilities
• Lead the Back of House Team
• Develop Team Members into Team Leaders
• Develop Team Leaders into Supervisors
• Monitor food cost
• Implement or continue use of systems that help maintain good food cost (spot counting
inventory, spot counting nuggets, trimming filets, etc.)
• Align daily practices of the kitchen with the Vision of the organization and with the annual goals
of the organization
• Create daily focus on goals and specific kitchen behaviors

• Always deliver crave-able food, in a timely manner, that meets or exceeds Chick-fil-A Quality
Requirements
• Coach the behaviors of all Team Leaders and Team Members who work in the Kitchen.
Those behaviors include:

Attention to detail that ensures preparation and production procedures are followed
Execution of systems that ensure a refreshingly clean environment
Maintaining a work environment that ensures and promotes food safety
Vigilant attention to the organization and appearance of the kitchen
• Oversee waste tracking
• Execute LEAN strategies across the kitchen (inventory management, production, execution, etc)
• Manage inventory (truck ordering, days on hand, LEAN, etc)
• Responsible for BOH schedule of team members
• Involved in the 2nd interview of BOH candidates
• Maintain correct thaw cabinet allocations
• Create and update daily checklists for the BOH team
• Monitor completion of catering orders
• Keep up with operational updates to Chick-fil-A procedures
• Work at least 1 night per week
