Traveling Construction Site Superintendent
Job Description Overview: General Contracting/Retail Construction company is seeking traveling working Superintendents with their own installation team/teams to handle interior remodel and CAPEX work. Superintendents will be in charge of daily site supervision, schedule management, project workforce, jobsite safety, jobsite cleanliness and project quality control. Candidates should have a minimum of 4 years of experience as a Superintendent on commercial projects and be able to self-assemble pre-determined manpower to complete assigned projects. Qualifications: Superintendents must be able to self-assemble and manage their own installation team/teams that will handle primarily light demolition, metal stud framing, drywall installation, drywall finishing, painting, ceiling grid installation, flooring installation (carpet tile & VCT), basic carpentry and maintaining jobsite cleanliness. Materials for each project will be provided. Superintendent must have own tools to accomplish the above scopes of work. Compensation for each crew member will be provided. Superintendents must maintain professional appearance and have good verbal and written communication skills in order to coordinate work schedule with clients, property managers, design professional, jurisdictional authorities (where required) and any company hired trades (electricians, plumbers, roofers, etc). This is a 1099 Contract Labor position where majority of construction will be focused on repeat multiple large and growing companies. Superintendents must have the ability to travel as needed for extended periods of time to the possible following states; GA, SC, FL, AL, TN, MD, VA, TX, AZ, MN & NY. Hotel, food and travel expenditure compensation is provided. Superintendents must be able to self-assemble appropriate project manpower to complete jobs, assess project equipment/material needs and effectively schedule work with their installation team and any MEP trades that are hired to work alongside the Superintendent's team (when MEP work is required on a project). Superintendents must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation with the ability for light hauling and towing if needed. Superintendents must have the ability to work overtime as needed, including nights and weekends. Superintendents must have a competent understanding of construction practices and job site safety. Superintendents will be required to carry their own GL & WC insurance. Superintendents may qualify for GL & WC insurance cost reimbursement after the successful completion of projects.
