Under general supervision, performs the role and responsibilities of a mental health professional providing psychiatric counseling, Medication Assisted Therapy and case management to consumers and their families in an outpatient mental health program. Provides individual, group and family counseling to patients who are identified as needing psychiatric services. Coordinates specific nursing functions within the outpatient program. Functions within a multidisciplinary practice model. Assumes nursing leadership in outpatient and community settings to impact on care delivered to the identified consumers population. What You Need to Be Successful: Education and Experience: Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Nevada. Previous experience in a behavioral health practice preferred. Minimum of two (2) years clinical nursing experience is preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Clinical and professional knowledge regarding individual, group and family counseling is required. Clinical, technical and professional level of knowledge of nursing's current issues relevant to delivery systems, quality assurance and professional practice. Ability to work autonomously in providing clinical services. Ability to effectively collaborate with other disciplines. Ability to actively utilize consultation provided by experience behavioral health clinicians to enhance level and treatment of individual cases.
